It’s bazaar to think that Emily & Jacob’s incredible Hoxton Hall wedding in February would potentially be my ONLY wedding of 2020 but hey….if it has to be, I’m glad it was this one. Whilst their wedding reception was not originally meant to be at Hoxton Hall, it was a small blessing in disguise when 6 months to their wedding, the couple had to swap venues. This action really cemented to me that Emily & Jacob are rockstars…they remained calm, relaxed and in good spirits despite having to find another venue. Luckily, Hoxton Hall weddings are my FAVOURITE and it all turned out perfect in the end
Emily & Jacob got ready separately surrounded by friends and family before venturing across town to a very special church to the couple, Holy Trinity Church near to The Royal Albert Hall. This meant I used that badboy in any photographs I could. Emily had her bridesmaids wait in the entrance of Royal Albert Hall and did a very impromptu ‘reveal’ whilst across the road Jacob waited patiently for his bride. Their ceremony was beautiful and had Emily’s close friends act as their personal choir (Emily herself singing it it usually but ya know…she was busy getting married) Once the rings were on and papers were signed, we began the journey back to Hoxton Hall stopping on the way for photographs
Hoxton Hall is a beautiful alternative for a wedding venue in London. It’s history is seeped into the place with a cute stage for your top table, wraparound balcony that was perfect for capturing speeches and an a joining room that acted as drinks reception and the bar. The flowers by Fluroesse continued in greatness as they transformed the hall and drinks reception area.
Now…this is when the fun kicked up a notch. The wonderful creators behind Astral Projections transformed Hoxton Hall into a colourful, psychedelic oil projections to create a specular light show in the main hall. The guests danced, raved, drank and partied the night away in style with Love Specs (they create heart shapes in them!) and vapour cocktails by Smith & Sinclair

Emily & Jacob had one epic London wedding at Hoxton Hall and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph their day. If this is the only wedding I shoot in 2020 then I at least did it with the best couple, the best venue and best suppliers.
Here are some very kind words from Emily & Jacob via Google Review:
“On the day itself, Lex was a brilliant mentor from the get go and kept me sane and calm. Every bride and groom to be stresses over the group shots but Lex made them super fun and breezy and kept everybody relaxed and happy. The couple shots were just such a hoot and we couldn’t stop grinning. Perhaps most importantly, Lex and her unmatched professionalism allowed to fully enjoy the day that we had spent a year and a half putting together. I have seen it happen at weddings before as well as hearing stories from friends where the bride and groom are continuously pulled away from the all the fun and pressured into spending precious time posing for shot after shot after shot. With Lex you will be blessed with a day that is captured in the most magical and natural way just as it happened. The warmth, vibrancy and attention to every little detail in her photos is truly breathtaking. We are beyond happy to have had Lex on board and cannot recommend her enough!“
