Doorstep family portraits in Leigh on Sea

From Monday 4th May I’ll be bringing the residents of Leigh-on-Sea in Essex for a new sort of normal: doorstep portraits. Finding a slice of positivity in this Global Pandemic to remember you, your family, and what you were doing as we unwittingly make history. Whether you want to stand in your pj’s, or dress like youre going to the oscars. Anything goes. Kids, pets, humans…all are welcome! Abiding by WHO guidelines for health and safety, all photoshoots will adhere to social distancing rules and I will not be stepping on or in your property. Come rain or shine, let’s document our lives right now and make some happy memories. What’s more, for every session I shoot, I will be donating £5 to a local food bank charity

I do have a few rules though:

I will not be coming into your home
I cannot walk through your home to your back garden
I cannot accept drinks or hugs, no matter how much I’d love to
I cannot outstay my welcome. 10 minutes is the maximum time before I will cave to the drinks & hugs
I can wear a protective mask at your request
I will be removing any signs of door numbers or house names from your images to protect your identity.

What to expect?

I’ll give you a small window of time that I’ll be walkng past your home address and remain on the pavement or will even stand across the road if your front garden area is small. I will spend up to 10 minutes photographing you and your family however you’d like and then I’ll give you a wave and be on my way! I will carry my facemask with me and will always ask if you’d like me to use it

Then, a few days later you’ll be sent a private online gallery of 5 high res downloadable images to keep and save.

Where will you be shooting?

I’ll be photographing residents of Leigh on Sea on my daily walk on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

£5 donated to Southend Foodbank

How much?

Each session is just £25, with £5 going to charity.

Can we dress up for our shoot?

Of course! You can dress however you’d like. Colour co-ordinate, get a theme going, fancy dress, oscar’s night. Whatever you want to wear or do to make your photographs memorable I’m a-ok with!

Where will you be photographing?

I’ll be photographing in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday

I’ll be in Bromley and surrounding areas on a Tuesday & Thursday

Will you come to be outside of those areas?

Sadly not. The WHO guidelines state everyone must work from home unless you can’t. As a photographer, I am able to utilise my essential trips such as daily walks or trips to drop essentials off to family members. I currently cannot offer doorstep portraits to other Counties right now

How many images do we get?

For your 5-10 minute session you will get 5 downloadable images at high resolution to download and keep

Can we then order prints?

Absolutely. The trade printers most professional photographers are a damn sight better than high street printers. There is a print shop attached to your gallery. As soon as the first stages of lockdown lift, my favourite printers will be open and I’d love to then hand-deliver any prints you order 🙂

Our front garden is a mess though?

Great! More realism the better! Remember, these sessions are to document a point in your families history! So messy garden, or skip on the drive way is exactly what was happening for you in 2020. Embrace the mess I say!
