A relaxed, picnic wedding
As promised, I wanted to share Jasmin & Richard’s wedding bonanza part 2 from March of this year! The couple wed in a super intimate elopement style wedding with just their parents and siblings. 48 hours later the couple’s plan was then throwing a wonderfully relaxed, picnic wedding party in a nearby Adelaide park. Except…a heat wave hit the city that week! Temperatures reached 40 degrees and the pair decided that air-con was needed otherwise they’d have some very hot and sweaty guests on their hands.
In stepped Jasmin’s mother who offered up her garden for the celebrations! With lots of shade, plenty of room for what they had planned along with incredible air conditioning in the house, it was as if it was fate.
When it came to favours, the couple decided to hand-make their wedding keepsakes for their guests; bow-ties for the boys and super-cute headscarves for the ladies. With beautifully designed instructions nearby, the main attraction of the day was watching the boys, both young and old, trying to tie a bow-tie for the first time!
The drinks were underway and the pair’s favourite restaurant serving up yummy vegan food for the party. With garden games and even a fan assisted sprinkler to keep everyone cool, it was a beautifully relaxed affair; perfect for Jasmin & Richard! The night ended with gelato from another of Adelade’s celebrated vendors which went down a treat after an incredible hot day.
Congratulations Jasmin & Richard. It’s been a wonderful way of remembering 9 months ago to your incredible wedding celebrations. It’s made me miss Australia something rotten….but I’LL BE BACK!!
